Materials Harvest

We are seeking donations of reused materials listed below, for use in interior construction of the Remakery space. We are able to arrange van collections (or bike trailer collections for smaller items), and will collect for free any materials that are genuinely useful for the construction of the Remakery. We will need to discuss the specific materials you have and how much we can collect – initially on the phone, and for some items we may need to come and view them before confirming whether we can accept them.

Collections are currently volunteer-run, so we are more likely to be able to collect if you give us a few days notice before you need the items picked up. Please email hannah@remakery.org or call 07919 038 778.

Materials we want to harvest include:

  • Building timber (4"x2", 3"x2" etc)
  • Old scaffold planks
  • Plasterboard / cementboard (whole sheets or large offcuts only, small offcuts unwanted)
  • Insulation (rockwool, mineral wool, batts or quilt)
  • Sanitarywear: sinks, toilets, taps, fittings, signage, ironmongery etc
  • Tiles: any colour, any condition (for mosaics)
  • Floor tiles / stones (for wetroom)
  • Electrical: cable management trays / conduit, galvanised surface mounted switches, sockets, light fittings, fluorescent tubes etc.
  • Plumbing: copper pipe, plastic waste pipe (40mm & 50mm diameter)
  • Finishes: paint, lino
