Materials Harvest
We are seeking donations of reused materials for use in the construction of the Remakery space.
Our current (April 2013) call out is for:
- Surface mounted workshop lights and plug boxes
- Fire detection equipment (ideally a contractor to carry out these works)
- Ventilation Ducting - Large quantities and consistent diameters (350mm or 400mm diameter probably required)
- A friendly electrical wholesaler
- Heating installation specialist or Biomass wholesaler
Process for donation/collection

We are able to arrange van collections (or bike trailer collections for smaller items), and will collect for free any materials that are genuinely useful for the construction of the Remakery. Collections are currently volunteer-run so we may not be able to collect immediately.
Other materials we want to harvest includes:
- Bathroom Suites
- Bricks and Blocks
- Building Timber (4”x2”, 3”x2” etc.)
- Cabinets
- Cladding
- Cement Bags
- Doors and fire doors, any size and spec considered, pref with glazed panes
- Electrical: cable management trays / conduit, switches, light fittings, sockets, alarms, etc.
- Flooring : wood, ceramic tiles, vinyl, carpet, carpet tiles, cork
- Hardware, knobs, hinges, locks, nails, cabinet pulls, nuts, bolts, screws
- Insulation (rockwool, mineral wool, batts or quilt)
- Kitchen Units
- Millwork/ trim, wood casing and base (clean), vinyl base
- Old scaffold planks and pallets
- Paint, stain and varnish
- Plasterboard/ cementboard (whole sheets or large offcuts only) . Plumbing, usable fixtures, copper pipes, plastic waste pipe, current parts and supplies
- Radiators
- Sprinklers
- Tools, hand- and power tools
- Ventilation parts and supplies . Windows, frames, glazing, ironmongery
